Apologies for the lack of updates recently. This was due some connection problems, and yours truly playing his usual 45 minutes of a GSOP Live Side event. One of these days I will make it to the first break.

Anyways, back to the point:

Genchev, the Bulgarian chipleader was so active thru the final table that everyone else had to open up too.

First victim since our last update was Stylianos Pantalikis, who was knocked out at 6th position when Genchev hit a flush on the turn and Panteliakis called all-in on the river after a loooong tank.

Sergio Aguilar, who was playing some very solid poker the last two days, knocked out Greece´s George Tzimas out on 5th in classic no-escape-setup, jacks against nines.

Ally Squire, who destroyed Team RedKings Pro James Keys´s stack yesterday in that big AA versus TT pre-flop confrontation, was knocked out 4th by the “Bulgarian Bulldozer” Genchev. Ally showed a low flop with second pair, but “Stevie-G” made the call with top pair.

Third place finisher in GSOP Live Greece this year is De Lima Carvalho from Portugal. De Lima played super tight thru the day, but eventually found the call with QJ when Sergio Aguilera four-bet him all in preflop. Not so surprisingly, De Lima was not in very good shape. Aguilera held AK so it was still a coinflip, but neither player hit the board and we were heads-up.

The heads-ip was between Bulgary´s Stefan Genchev, by far the most aggressive and fearless player in the final table, and Spain´s Sergio Marti Aguilar who to us looked possibly most analytical player in the final table.

The heads-up lasted only few hands, Aguilera tricked genchev with a oversixed preflop 3-bet, and the Bulgarian shoved KQ into Aguilera´s AK and we had a winner!

Blinds now go up to 20,000/40,000 ante 5,000 average stack approximately 1,100,000. Still six playerrs, not much action recently but we assume it will pick up anytime now.

Bulgaria´s Steven Genchev is now back to his old habits, playing very aggressively.

First he took down a pot from the big blind, calling Ally Squire´s UTG raise and flop and turn bets before putting Ally all-in on the river.Steven doesn´t show.

In the very next hand Stylianos Pantelakis opens pre and Genchev, or “Stevie G” as he is now called made the 74k call in the small blind. Genchev calls in the small blind.

Flop As 8s 6d Genchev leads 200k, Pantelakis calls.

Turn 8c Genchev leads all-in. Pantelakis folds.

Genchev shows JT offsuit for complete air.

And again in the very next hand Pantelakis opens 77k and Genchev calls from the button.

Flop 4d9h7d checks around.

Turn is ten of spades and Genchev calls Pantelakis´s 120k bet

River 7s and after Pantelakis checks, Genchev takes a sip of his water and quickly bets 300k.

Pantelakis makes a quick fold and Stevie G shows AJ for a high card!

Timotheus Grall, who had been playing very tight deep in the tournament, finally picked up a hand but was unlucky to run his pair of eights into a pair of queens and is our seventh place finisher.

As it was expected with many shortstacks coming in, we have already lost two players

Denmark´s Anders Wind was knocked out queens against kings on 8th place, and Greece´s Dimitrios Vlahos with tens against queens. Understandably there´s no way to get away from such setups at this stage.

In other news Bulgary´s Grenchev who came in as a big chiplead, gave some away by calling huge raises from De Lima Carvalho with bottom pair only. He is still the chiplead nut Carvalho is now very close.

Roman Herold made a resteal against Sergio Marti Aguilar, but was unlucky to run his Q3s into Aguilar´s KK. The flop came down AAK to end any speculation of a huge suck-out.

GSOP Live Greece Final table:

Chipcounts as soon as possible.

Konstantin Tsamakis has been eliminated in 10th place.

He lost most of his chips with AQ against AT when an almost even stack hit the 10 on the board in a preflop “coinflip” to cripple him.

The rest of his chips went in soon after when he had to shove with 65 offsuit.

We are now playing hand for hand.
