In the money!

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

Yes, this is true. It is probably the fastest bubble history ever, when we got down to 65 players we only got the chance to play one hand, when a player announced All-in with two sevens, and he got called by two Kings, not Red this time. The Kings held up and we are down to 64 players, and everybody are now guaranteed a prize of €6.290!

I would like to congratulate Toni for getting in the money, but he wants more, he is going for the final table!

Toni Climbs..

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

Toni is not afraid of the devilfish, which is proved by looking at his chip stack. A player moved all in with pocket deuces, it was about 20.000 for Toni to call, and he made the call with AJ. The flop showed an ace, and that boosted Toni’s chip stack to 95.000. There are now 66 players remaining, so it is one more player to the bubble, then the play probably will tighten up even more than it has done the recent hour.

Toni is on average in chips, but he is over average in skills, so if you do the maths Toni is going to be very successful in the EPT Deuville!

More info about the bubble soon….

Devilfish vs Mr. Ojala..

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

The two best players that still are in the tournament?

The two best players that still are in the tournament?

Yes, you heard right it is the Heavy Weight Champions who has started the battle on the same table. Dave “Devilfish” Ulliot just sat down next to the finnish champion and RedKings player Toni Ojala. Directly when the Devilfish sat down, he started his usual flirting with the dealers, mostly the female ones. He also let his opponents try his sunglasses, generous as he is.

Toni has got up in chips as well, he is now up to about 70.000 in chips, he won a pretty big pot with a couple of Queens, that took him to the height of 70.000. He just has to watch out now for the player on his right, Devilfish has over 100.000 in chips and seems to be in a good mood.

76 players left, 12 to the money…

Moving upwards slowly..

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

There is not very much to say about Toni the latest hour, he has changed table once, won some blinds, and some small pots, this action puts him on about 60.000 in chips. That is now a little bit below the average that is equal to 78.700. There is 82 players left, only 18 more that needs to go out to get Toni into the money.

Toni is sitting on a table without any superstars, except himself, so again he just needs some hands and he will move upwards in the chip counts..

Go on Toni!

A few words with Christian in Aussie Millions..

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

We were able to get in touch with Christian in Australia, after his great third day, who has put him as 2nd in the total chip count..

We gave him the so many time asked question; how does it feel?
I am very tired after these three long days of Poker, but I feel confident for day 4, and I really like that we have started to play short-handed.

It was hard to get any more information out of him, which is very understandable, focusing to 110% for twelve hours, three days in a row must be exhausting.

We wish Christian the best of luck tomorrow, and you will be able to follow him here at the blog!

You can also follow him live from theongamezone

Useful information..

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

We have soon been playing for 4 hours on day 2 in EPT Deauville by Pokerstars.net. We have got rid of more than half of the field that started today, and we are down to 111 players, the average stack is 58.000 which is about what Toni right now has in his stack..

More interesting is that Christian Heich goes through to day 4 in the Aussie Millions, as 2nd in chips! You can only get more and more impressed by the champ Christian. You will get more information about him later tonight, as we are right now doing an interview with him. Christian has 880.000 chips to bring him in a very large bag for tomorrow, where he is going to meet these guys:

Table 11
Seat 1 Hoi Cheung - 370,000
Seat 2 Dixon Ruecker - 318,000
Seat 3 Kelly Kim - 380,000
Seat 4 Barny Boatman - 153,000
Seat 5 Christian Heich - 880,000
Seat 6 Sorel Mizzi - 293,000

More about Christian later, and very soon more about Toni!

Toni changes table, now playing against a champion..

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

Toni still has around 55.000 in chips, with about 130 players left in the tournament. He just changed table when his old one got broken up, and all the players moved to other tables. Toni now plays against Joao Barbosa, who won the EPT Warzaw tournament this season, he is playing aggressively, and that man is to watch out for…

Find anyone you know? (Toni has not coloured his hair to pink, and he won't until he gets to the final table)

Toni gives us action..

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

Just when I got down to Tonis table, I got some action.. Toni raises to 3.500, and gets a re-raise to 7.000. Toni scratches his stubble before he announces “All-In”, the opponent makes an instant fold and says that he had AJ. Everybody at the table tries to get some information from Toni, but he is just mind playing them all by giving them different answers..

Toni has around 53.000 in chips, and yesterday after day 1b he said “I am going to the final table”. So there will be a lot of action in this blog the coming days!

Toni Ojala, the moviestar..

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

Unfortunately there was no action for Toni in this hand, and he has around 55.000 in chips. There are 147 players still in the tournament, and the average stack is 44.000. The players are now on a 15 minutes break, and when they come back from the break the blinds will raise to 800/1200 with an ante of 100..

Christian Heich continues to impress… 32 players to beat..

Christian Heich - The Red King!

Christian Heich - The Red King!

The new German superstar is again going like a rocket in the Aussie Millions Main Event, he has now got 620.000 in chips! There are only 33 players left in the tournament, and who knows where this can end…

They are now playing with shorthanded tables and Christian got re-drawn to this table:
Seat 1 - 315,000 - Hoi Cheung
Seat 2 - 375,000 - Leonid Cai
Seat 3 - 270,000 - Jonathon Plens
Seat 4 - Empty
Seat 5 - 780,000 - Michael Tureniec
Seat 6 - 620,000 - Christian Heich

We know that the Swedish shooting star Michael Tureniec that finished second in EPT London, and won a side event in the Amsterdam Master Classics of Poker really has to get the biggest respect. Even I am very excited over this, so if you are not, this is probably not the right blog for you..

Go Christian, GOO!
