Thomas Erichsen, going for day 2!

Thomas Erichsen, going for day 2!

Thomas Erichsen got dealt two aces in the perfect time, that time is when a opponent has two kings. Of course they went all-in pre-flop and Mr. Erichsen had a big chance of doubling his stack up. That was also what he did, now he has about 23.000 in chips.

Only 10 minutes left of day 1b, and we are down to 140 players.

Benjamin Schaub, 37.000
Ivo Donev, 16.000
Thomas Erichsen, 23.000

Ivo doubles up!

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

Ivo has been shorstacked all day long, but now in the end things starts to happen. He got all his chips in on a Q high flop, with AQ, his opponent called and showed KQ which means that Ivo is in a big lead for the turn and flop. No kings shows, and Ivo doubles up to 17.000!

Only 30 minutes left of day 1b, and right now we have 160 players still in today, everybody with a goal to join the 115 who went thorugh from day 1a.

Benjamin Schaub, 40.000
Ivo Donev, 17.000
Thomas Erichsen, 13.000

Benjamin Schaub - 42.000

Benjamin Schaub - 42.000

Bejamin Schaub is going very good here in Dortmund, he just won a big pot when he after a while of thinking called with JJ against a player that moved all-in for 8.000, and he was happy with this call when his female opponent showed 1010. Nothing weird on the board gives “Benni” the pot and a total chip stack of 42.000!

Only one hour left too play for today, and still three RedKings players in.

Benjamin Schaub, 42.000
Thomas Erichsen, 13.000
Ivo Donev, 5.000

A sad blog post..

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

This is the worst blog post I have written in the Team RedKings official blogs history. If you want to become depressed, read this:

Jonas “Molle” Molander who just got lucky with the flopped flush had AJ on the flop AQJ, all the chips went in, and his opponent showed the nuts (best possible hand) K10 for the straight. A or J needed for full house, but no luck this time. Molle out.

This is not enough just two minutes after this Toni gets his best hand of the day, two Queens. All his 5.000 goes in to the pot pre-flop and gets called by two kings. No help for Toni on flop, turn or river. Toni out.

Enrico Moldenbauer had J8 on a 8 high flop, this made him to put all his 5.000 chips in the pot. His opponent calls with Q8, and wins on the kicker. Enrico out.

I tried to keep those bad news as short as possible, and I am truly sorry if I broke your hearts. That’s why I am going to give you something good on your brains instead. Our German Benjamin Schaub is still in with a very nice stack of 32.000. Then of course Ivo Donev is hanging in there with about 4.000, and so is Thomas Erichsen with 8.000.

It is time that the luck turns for Team RedKings now, good luck to the three Kings that still is in!

Finally some luck..

Team RedKings - Ramzi & Molle

Team RedKings - Ramzi & Molle

Jonas “Molle” Molander has been a bit below the starting stack all day, he found a hand, not a very good one but he played it. It was K3 suited he pushed all his 4.500 into the pot with, unfortunately as usual the player against the RedKings player finds AA. Molle made himself ready to join the other RedKings players in the bar, but when the flop came out with 3 diamonds and a big “ohhhhh” went through the crowd, Molle deicided to sit down again. This because he had the K3 in diamonds and flopped the flush. Now he is up to 9.000.

Entertainment..

Entertainment..

I am sure that all the players are happy with the pause entertainment that just starts in the middle of the tournament with half naked girls on the stage. It doesn’t bother me, but I am sure it bothers the male players who tries not to concentrate on ladies. I think this is hard when half naked girls comes up and dances on the stage. Of course I will give you readers a little bit of this, check out the picture.

Now there is 240 players left and the average stack is about 16.000.

Chip counts:
Toni Ojala, 9.000
Jonas “Molle” Molander, 9.000
Enrico Moldenbauer, 5.000
Ivo Donev, 8.500
Benjamin Schaub, 16.000
Thomas Erichsen, 14.000

Ramzi in a monster pot..

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

Ramzi had 19.300 when he got dealt AK suited, a hand that Ramzi likes. Before it was Ramzis turn to play, there was a raiser, Ramzi re-raised this player to 2.300, his opponent decides to make a 3-bet and raise again to 6.800. This doesn’t scare Ramzi as he shovels his whole stack into the middle. His opponent goes into the tank, and says:
-If you have aces, you got me.

After a few minutes he calls with two kings and Ramzi either need to find an ace or get a flush/straight to beat his opponent for this monster pot of 40.000. The flop doesn’t give Ramzi any draws, so only three aces left that can save him. No ace on turn. River…………7. This takes Ramzi to the bar to have a bottle of wine.

These are the 6 players we now have our hope in:
Toni Ojala, 12.500
Jonas “Molle” Molander, 4.400
Enrico Moldenbauer, 5.000
Ivo Donev, 8.500
Benjamin Schaub, 16.000
Thomas Erichsen, 17.000

Per got shot by the bullets..

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

Per Linde - Dead

Per Linde - Dead

Per had about 6000, when he was in Small Blind, the player on the dealer button raised up to 4x Big Blind, and Per decided to push his last 6.000 into the pot, mostly to steal all the money that already was in the pot. The turn goes over to the Big Blind player, who surprisingly calls. The player on the button folds.

Per shows JQ and the big blind showed AA. Bad timing by Per, and now he needed more luck than he had with the QQ earlier in the tournament. There never comes any help on the board and Per has to go to the rail.

We are soon going to see more of Per, hopefully and probably already in San Remo in about a month.

Richard Weiss - Mission2RedKings is over.

Richard Weiss - Mission2RedKings is over.

Richard Weiss one of our two Mission2RedKings qualifiers got dealt AK, and on the flop with KQ8, of course he was happy. His opponent was very wild and crazy, so when he put him all-in it was a easy call for Richard. Unfortunately his opponent who doesn’t really care about what happens on the table, as long as he gets to go to a new level on his Sony PSP, had KQ. No help on the turn or river and Richard goes to the buffet without coming back again.

On the same table just the hand before Toni Ojala had AK on the flop A109, Toni raised, his opponent re-raised and Toni went all-in and got called. Toni was long ahead with his AK vs AJ. On the turn both the players got three of a kind with another A, no pair on the board or J and Toni would double up. The river shows…….9. This means that both players has a full house and splits the pot and Toni is still on the start stack of 10.000.

Chip Counts:
Toni Ojala, 10.000
Per Linde, 6.600
Ramzi Jelassi, 15.000
Jonas “Molle” Molander, 4.800
Enrico Moldenbauer, 5.500
Ivo Donev, 8.000
Benjamin Schaub, 16.000
Thomas Erichsen, 21.000

Per Linde goes all-in.. and out?

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

Per Linde - Ladies man

Per Linde - Ladies man

Per Linde first played in a pot where he got re-raised on the river and he had to fold as he knew his opponent had him beaten, this pot took him down to about 4.000 in chips. A few hands later he gets dealt QQ, after some betting he is all-in vs AK. It is time for the classic coinflip, AK vs QQ. Per just need to dodge an Ace or King to double up. The dealer shows the flop, and there it is, the awful ace. Per is really in need of a lovely lady now, the turn doesn’t give it to him. Now it is up to the river to help, and here it comes……………Q! Per gets one of the two Queens that still is in the deck and doubles up to about 8.000!

J-P Jachtmann has been shortstacked for a while, and needed to get some action to get his chips back. He just had a coinflip with A10 vs 99, all-in pre flop. Mr. Jachtmann needed an A or 10 to double his 1.500 big stack up. Flop is just three low cards, and so is turn, was he going to be as lucky as Per Linde? Unfortunately not, and J-P Jachtmann has to leave the tournament, and get back to his work as a journalist. As fast as an RedKings player goes out another one takes his seat, this time it is Ramzi Jelassi that will try to have more luck on this table.

More chipcounts is coming soon…
