Ivo leaves in 64th position..

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

Ivo got dealt JQ on the button, and raised, he got re-raised to 18.000. Ivo calls and the flop comes J52, BB player checks and Ivo moved all-in. The BB player called and showed KK which gave Ivo a bad seat and he needed a Q or another J. Nothing on the turn and nothing on the river and Ivo has to leave in 64th position $6900 richer!

Congratulations!

Time for the bubble..

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

Ivo is still in the $3000 Tripple Chance NLHE event, and we have 82 players left. The special with that is that 81 players gets paid, and it might be time for Ivos first cash position during this WSOP.

Toni is still on a nice stack of 30.000 with 1.310 players left. Harri is down a bit but still at the average stack of 9.000. Sylvain is not to be found at the moment, but I still think he is in but hiding.

Go Ivo!!

More chips than the rest of the table..

Monday, June 29th, 2009

It is Toni Ojala I am talking about, just 30 minutes after the break Toni has 27500 chips, which is more than the rest of the table together.

First pot Toni won a huge pot with 45 suited after a genious play and just a few minutes after that Toni suceeds on getting an all-in on the flop J73, Toni had KK and his opponent TT. Now Toni might be the chip leader over this whole field with 2800 players!

It is not only Toni that is going good, Harri just got all his chips in pre flop with KK vs QQ and is up to 15.000!

Looking good at first break..

Monday, June 29th, 2009

Event 54 just went on its first break after two hours. They all started with 4500 in their stack, and Toni Ojala is already up to 12500, after owning his table completely and playing very agressively.

One hand that toni is specially happy with is when he got dealt AK on the SB, and a player opened to 350 and Toni just called. The flop came out A62, with two hearts. Toni checked, opponent bets 650, and Toni makes it 1650 and his opponent moves all-in and Toni calls. Tonis opponent says “I’m good” meaning that he thinks he is in the lead, but when Toni turns over his cards he is no that happy anymore as he has AQ and Toni wins a big pot.

Harri Strömberg is also doing very well and is already up to 10.000.

Our French Idol Sylvain Lanternier is down to 3.000 but he is happy with his table so he thinks it will be a lot more soon!

Ivo just sat down to play day 2, more about that soon..

Time for Event 54..

Monday, June 29th, 2009

This years World Series of Poker is really on fire, event 54 got sold out already the day before it started, must be some kind of record. So we have 2800 players starting also in this event, and three of them are dressed in Red, playing for Team RedKings.

We have Harri Strömberg who qualified through the magnificent promotion Mission2Vegas, from where we already have two players who mad it to the money in event 54. Harri who is playing his first really big live tournament is thrilled to be here, and his goal is to make it through to the second day.

Then we have Sylvain Lanternier who made an early exit in event 51, but now is back for event 54. Sylvain seemed confident before the start of the tournament and hope fully he will be able to stay at the table for the whole day today!

Toni Ojala who hasn’t played any events the last week is now also back on stage in event 54, fully charged after having a couple of good cash game sessions.

This is not all, soon we have Ivo Donev starting on the 2nd day of the $3000 Tripple Chance event with an average stack with 153 players left. 81 gets money!

For you Europeans, this is the night you should stay awake!

Ivo is back on track..

Monday, June 29th, 2009

Right after the dinner break Ivo got to change table, and he really liked the new table and you can see that on his chip stack that now has grown to 30.000.

Stephan Kjerstad is also doing good and his 24.000 big stack is about what the average is on right now with 300 players left out of the 854 starting.

Hopefully this will be another long night for Team RedKings..

Lauri Kiiski finishes 157th..

Monday, June 29th, 2009

Lauri Kiiski the Finnish Tennis pro can now also call himself a poker pro after beating 2650 players ina WSOP event, very impressive! Lauri didn’t get any cards in the end and got short stacked and only had 3 BB left. He got dealt 69 on the button and no one raised before and he decided to go all-in, and the player on SB had a huge stack and called with AJ. No help on turn, flop or river and he leaves to the tennis court $3264 richer! Well done and congratulations!

In the other event ($3000 NLHE Tripple Chance) both Stephan kjerstad and Ivo Donev is still in. Ivo has around 11.000, and the average stack is about 14.000. Stephan has gone like a rocket up to 20.000, they have now played for about 6 hours and we have 500 players left out of the 854 starting..

Can they both go through to the 2nd day?
