Team RedKings both live and online!

Monday, August 24th, 2009

After that Jeffery Tan finished outside the money in the APT Macau, we thought that Team RedKings would go empty handed away from Macau. That is not the case, Jason Samsonov wanted to play more poker so he sat down in the 6 handed event, and he did not only sit down, he won it! Congratulations Jason, for winning $6,000!

On Sundays we offer a big $100+$8 tournament with one rebuy and one add-on. Per Linde came home from the vacation yesterday and decided to play a few tournaments, it ended up with him winning the $100+$8 tournament for $30,000.

Congratulations Per and Jason!

EPT Barcelona is just getting closer and closer, and you will soon be able to meet our team players in a bounty tournament! Also the finnish championship where Toni Ojala last year was the champion and this year he will try to defend it. The tournament starts on the 28th of August, so come back and see how he is doing!

JC Tran and cowboys..

Saturday, August 22nd, 2009

On a low flop where Jeffery Tan held JJ, he was all-in against the big star JC Trans, who had KK. No help on the turn or the river, and Jeffery leaves Macau without any prize money.

Soon time for EPT Barcelona, and the start of the season for all our other Team RedKings members.

4th of the september the live reporting will start, so come back!

End of day 1b..

Friday, August 21st, 2009

And Jeffery Tan leaves the tables with 42.000 in chips, 4 times more than what he started this long day with. Jeffery has made a lot of impressing plays today, especially the one where he pretty much knew what a player had already before the flop and this read doubled him up.

In the end of the day Jeffery got moved to the table with the big champion Johhny Chan, that Jeffery actually knows and had lunch with yesterday. He had a few small battles with him, but nothing dangerous.

Tomorrow 88 players will come here to continue the big poker battle in Macau!

Go Jeffery!

News from Asia..

Friday, August 21st, 2009

APT Macau for the lazy, Asian Poker Tour Macau for the author, Poker in Macau for everybody! Day 1a ended yesterday, with David Steicke in the lead with 86.200 in chips. Not a very interesting day for all the Team RedKings fans as our favorites were just relaxing and making their brains clean for day 1b, which is the day they are entering the action.

Day 1b has now started and our two newly signed Asian stars Jeffery Tan and Jason Samsonov both started of the day great, but one of them had to leave their seat to another fellow player.

It was Jason Samsonov who couldn’t get his JJ to stand against his opponents 1010, as a 10 was out on the table and they got everything in to the middle. Not much to do for Jason, who now closely will follow his fellow team mate and friend Jeffery.

Jefferey had after the second break a very nice stack of 30.000, so this might be one of those days where you just feel that you have to stay at one single web page, today that site is blogs.redkings.com!

Stay tuned, and good luck!

APT Macau coming up, meet our qualifier!

Monday, August 17th, 2009

APT Macau Main Event starts on Thursday, the first tournament on a new season for Team RedKings, we have our two Asian pros Jason Samsonov and Jefferey Tan together with the two Finnish qualifiers who managed to qualify online!

One of the qualifiers name is Ville Laine, and here you can read his own blog post:
Yo,

My name is Ville. I won a ticked to the APT Macau event through a satellite at Red Kings. I’m very excited to be playing there as this is my first big live tournament. I have played a lot of tournaments online and actually I’m pretty satisfied with this years results so far. I have confidence in my game, and I’m sure I won’t make any big mistakes. Obviously my first target is to finish in the money, but whatever may come, I’m sure I’ll get a whole lot of experience. In any case, I’m not afraid of anybody and willing to give my best shot.

If somebody is trying to outplay me, they’re in for a surprise…

We wish the team good luck, and you will be able to follow them all very closely here in the blog!

I began my 4th week and I did not have a great deal of luck. I lost all the profits which I had been able to make. I try to go back up little by little by making sit’n'go ” double or nothing ” for $11.
Last week for the summer job finally I believe!

Week 3 was crazy, I managed to get my 1000 for the 3rd straight week, but it took all the profit I had won in the previous 2 weeks to get there.

Week 4 is now underway, and I’m sitting at about 650 points. My goal is to still get the 1000 points for this week, to finish off July with 4000 points.

A few 2 outer beats today really hurt, so I turned my attention to a few SNG, placed first in a $22, and that should help for me to finish week 4.

Having a busy week, therefore I played all my games in the weekend. Playing almost exclusively Turbo Double or Nothings, I managed to break even for the week. For breaking even you need to win 55% of them, or 54% in case of a $50+4 tourney. The profit then lies in the Summer Job salary. Or in the bonus you may be clearing ;-).

Third week was hard besause I had only 2 days to earn 500 points. It was incredible game. I lost my profits from previous weeks, but I hope this loosing streak ended and I build my bankroll.
