In the break I had the opportunity to have a chat with our Team RedKings star Toni Ojala and the other Finn Jens Kyllönen, doing everything I could to convince Jens to double Toni up, but he rejected me and said with a smile “I just doubled up, and now I will try to hold on to my chips”.

For those of you that is following the tournament live and is wondering what Toni called with in the pot when it was raised up to 60.000, Toni had _Jc _Qc and he still doesn’t know if he played correct, but he had to fold on the board _As _Kc _5d when there was a bet. Two other players saw the turn _Td which would have given Toni the nuts straight..

I also asked Toni about his strategy during the coming level 21 (8.000/16.000, 2000) and his answer was clear “All-in, All-in, All-in, I only have 16 Big Blinds left”..

Let’s hope he can double up!

Julien Nuijten limped from the button, and Toni raised it up to 60.000 on the SB, BB folded, but Nujiten went all-in. You could see on Toni that he didn’t really like that, and he started thinking about it, after a while he leaves this opportunity to double up to find a better one later on.

A small fight will of course be between the two very good friends and fellow countrymen Toni Ojala and the winner from EPT Copenhagen Jens Kyllönen. Toni is a bit shortstacked but as you can see, it’s not only him, so let’s hope for an early double up and this could get even more interesting than it already is.

I am proud to say that Toni Ojala has throughout the day played solid poker, and it hasn’t been easy as his cards has been cold, but Toni did it, and he is now through to day 4 in EPT Barcelona!

He had a tough table, but you can see that Toni really has evolved to not only one of the best Finnish tournament poker players, but also that he is catching up with the absolute top tournament poker players in the world. He got big respect from all the big players, and you can see that they don’t mind not playing too much against Toni.

The average stack is at 613.000, and the blinds will tomorrow continue at 6.000/12.000 with an ante of 500. It starts at 12:30, you don’t want to miss it!

UTG+1 opens to 43.000, Toni raises to 110.000 with _As _Ks, ElkY re-raises to 240.000, the first player moves all-in for 550.000. Toni folds, and ElkY calls, ElkY shows _Ad _Kh, and his opponent shows _Ah _Kc. This means that all of them had the same hand, and it ends with that ElkY and his opponent splits the pot, but Toni doesn’t get a share..

Toni has now gone down under the average, but still has a very playable stack, and only needs a pot to get back to where he was.

A few player has moved over to Toni and ElkY’s table, it is not any players, it’s Roland de Wolfe and Mike Mcdonald. It’s not easy to be Toni right now as he doesn’t get any cards, best hand of the day is still his 99.

They have just broke it down to 4 tables, meaning that we only have 32 players left. They all just went on a 15 minute break, while also making a color up to get all the purple chips away.

Toni is around 500.000 in chips and still over the average..

ElkY raised to 18.000 in the cutoff, and the player in the small blind called, so did Toni on the Big Blind, flop ran out _4c _9c _Ac, everybody checks, turn is _Tc , checked around again, river is _8c and there is a flush on the board. Small blind checks, Toni bets out 20.000 in this 60.000 big pot and both player folds. Toni shows his _Qd _9d, for a spectacular bluff.

The very hand after everybody folded up to Toni who has the SB and he makes it 23.000, the player on the BB quickly announces “all-in” and Toni asks for a count. He moves in for 125.000 over Tonis original bet, and after a little thinking Toni calls. Toni again has _9s _9c, and his opponent turns over _Kd _Qd, time for a race again! The flop looks very promising when it comes out _Tc _9h _5h, giving Toni three of a kind. He just need to dodge the Jacks, the turn is _As and the river is…. _6d. Toni wins a big pot and is up to 580.000!

Down to 36 players now, and the day will end when we are down to the last 24, only 12 more players. Average stack is at 399.000.

Toni was UTG+1 and made it 15.5k, a Russian player then moved all-in for 85.000 total, everybody folded up to Toni who thought about it for a little while and then called. Toni turned over 99, but that was not good enough against his opponents QQ. The flop came out 45K not helping Toni, who now needs a 9, the turn is a 8 and the river is another 5 and Toni loses the pot. He’s now got 440.000.
