Day 3, EPT Deauville..

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

All Deauville has stopped up today (just like any other day) to watch the last 134 players battle on getting first of all the 104 positions that gets paid, and then to advance in the list of payouts.

The Team RedKings pros Sylvain Lanternier and Ramzi Jelassi is two of them, and it is Sylvain who needs to take some risks to get in to the top 104. This is also what he has done, he’s been all-in twice already but no callers, which still means a pot of about 12.000 with the blinds and antes that now is worth 2.500/5.000, 500.

Ramzi Jelassi, 270.000
Sylvain Lanternier, 86.000

It is not only Sylvain and Ramzi that is famous and still in the field, we also have the following to look out for:
Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, 331.5k
Ludovic Lacay 500.5k
Peter Eastgate, 294k
Dario Minieri, 204k
Juha Helppi, 198.5k
Jude Ainsworth, 109k
Freddy Deeb, 43k

RedKings advances to Day 3..

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

Ramzi Jelassi took down a few pots in the end of the day and ends at 298.500, which is well above average. He’s played very solid today, and we’ll just hope he continues in the same spirit tomorrow.

Sylvain Lanternier also advances to day 3! He does it with a short stack of 69.000, but he just need an early double up tomorrow and he is there to fight about the higher region of prize money.

It all continues at 12:00 CET tomorrow, or with the regular delay, I would guess on around 12:33 or so.

Follow Ramzi and Sylvain tomorrow, and maybe you will have time to play in another $250 Blogs freeroll?

Ramzi lost his timing..

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

With 30 minutes left to play of EPT Deauville Day 2, we have 149 players left, with an average stack of 154.600.

Ramzi Jelassi has dropped a little and is down to 210.000. He first lost a bigger sized pot with _Ah _6s vs _Ad _Qh when _Ac was out on the flop, at least he doubled up a Finnish neighbor. After that he has been involved in quite a few pots pre-flop, but his opponent seems to always find better cards, and Ramzi has to fold.

Sylvain Lanternier is around 85.000.

Sylvain “Squads” Lanternier..

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

Sylvain was all-in and got one call, and another player who was very close to calling, but never dig. Before showing the cards, Sylvain Whispered in my ear “Ace Ace”, so I felt comfortable.

Sylvain _Ah _Ad
Opponent _Jh _Jd
Third player who thought about calling showed and mucked _Jc _Js

So the pot was almost already Sylvains, and very much more when the flop came out _Ac _6d _As. Giving Sylvain four of a kind and the pot of 123.000.

Ramzi Jelassi, 280.000
Luca Pagano, 275.000
Peter Eastgate, 103.000
Mike McDonald, 223.000
Dario Minieri, 89.000
Katja Thater, 130.000

Ramzi closes up to 300.000..

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

Usually he takes down the pots pre-flop by 3-betting and 4-betting, and that is how he has got his stack up to 297.000!

40 minutes left on level 14, and after that we only have level 15 to look forward to and then we will end the day.

Sylvain Lanternier has been going down a bit lately, and is on about half average with 64.300 now.

184 left, 104 in the money…

No Norwegians from Team RedKings left..

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

Stephan Kjerstad was as I told you very short, and had to do something, and he did, he went all-in with _Kd _Jh and got called by _Ac _9s. He picked up a flush draw on turn with the board _8c _8h _2h _Th, but the river didn’t want him to stay in the tournament, so he had to leave. Stephan will be back in Copenhagen!

Ramzi Jelassi and Sylvain Lanternier is now fighting for Sweden and France, and we hope they’ll make it to the end of the day.
