Well played but he finished 19th..

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

Thats it, he is out unfortunately. I know you all were supporting him, but unluckily he is out with a card on the river.

Ramzi went all in with Q 10 of diamonds just to get called with AK of diamonds. The flop was 4 9 6 rainbow, but the turn came a 10 and our hopes were raised.. Unfortunately it was time for the killer river in the form of an Ace and that was it. The remaining swedish player was out.

Well played Ramzi.. Ooh what a future awaits for that boy..

You can send your comments to Ramzi by posting under this post. He will try to answer all your questions.

This 6th edition called ‘Point per Day 6 - World Cup Poker Special’ will again pay out Thousands in cash on reaching the specified requirements but differs in that there is now an extra $5000 to be won in a hands race for smaller players and another Points Chase additionally rewarding online poker grinders and winning players with prizes all themed on the upcoming World Cup football extravaganza in June.

Commented Jeff Simons, RedKings.com Online Poker Promotions Manager, “Making the Point per Day requirement plus winning cash in the poker hands race plus earning even more fantastic prizes because of the extra poker points chase makes this the most spectacular promotion of its kind and the biggest we have ever run”.

The RedKings.com Point per Day structure requires poker Players to choose the level of RedKings poker points they know they can generate each day and then make sure they get them. The choice is between 25, 50, 250, or 500 points daily and for each day you hit the requirement you earn 1 Race Point. It’s Race points that win the prizes.

For those players who choose either 25 or 50 points a day RedKings will sweeten the pot with an extra $5000 paid out to the players who play the most hands during the course of the Point per Day promotion.

For the grinders and higher level players RedKings have also added an extra points chase with the winners being able to chose from 42’ and 50’ Flat screen TV’s, a $2000 Home Cinema system and a top of the range Lap top perfect for streaming the Football in the event they have to be away from a TV during the World Cup. These can be won in addition to their winnings for Race points.

Added Simons, “Each time we hold these Online Poker Races we get a large turnout from all levels of our player database and a significant number of new players join to take advantage of the cash and prizes on offer. Because of the huge success we have had with the points per day concept so far we have made this latest version even more attractive. If you make the requirements in May not only will we give you cash but now you can also win more for just playing the most hands and have a chance to get a TV or an Football shirt of your choice. We urge all new players thinking about playing at RedKings.com to come and check it out”

EPT Pokerstars Monte Carlo Day 2

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

EPT Monte Carlo Day 2 started little over an hour ago and we still have about 350 players remaining. As among the chip leaders we have our very own RedKings Pro Ramzi Jelassi.

Ramzi Jelassi

Ramzi Jelassi

He has now an amazing 215.000 in chips after a great call.

“With the board reading {6-Spades} {5-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} it was checked to Ramzi Jelassi on the button who bet 24,000 into a pot of about 30,000.

Christoph Pereira then check-raised all-in for over 80,000 more and Jelassi immediately let out a anguished cry, “Why didn’t I just check?” he repeated several times before counting out his stack.

“Well,” said the Swede, “I am most likely probably screwed. I call.”

Pereira turned over {K-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} but Jelassi showed {6-Hearts} {5-Hearts} and requested another five on the river.

The {4-Diamonds} river did nothing and Ramzi moved up to 215,000 in chips.”

I guess he does not have his study book with him this time. :)

We will try to get an interview or some comments, dont forget to follow him also on twitter.

Day 2 is over - No survivors from RedKings

Saturday, April 17th, 2010

There are only about 200 players remaining with 184 going to the money. The tournament continues tomorrow, but without any RedKings players. Ramzi battled very well, but in the end the gods of cards were not with him. After the big all in he mentioned in twitter, he lost the remaining less than 90k in the last 5 hands of the day. Lets see if we can see him tomorrow in the 2k side-event. With the flights being cancelled and no way getting back, the 2k tournament promises to have a very large field of players.

Our german guest Severin Schneider is still in with a shout, but only with less than 60k for the day 3. He lost the majority of his stack during the last 2 hours of the day and it looked liked he was not going to make it. But as it happens, we will still see him tomorrow battling for the money. Good Game, Severin!

Day 2 continues - 1 star left, but he is right at the top

Saturday, April 17th, 2010

Day 2 continues with about 300 players remaining. The average is about 120k and 184 players get in to the money. Today we will play 6 levels of 75 minutes or until we reach 184 players. The way they have been dropping today (we started with 645 players), we might actually get into the money already.

In the top of the leaderboard is the new hot shot from Finland Otto Sandström with 400k, but in the top 10 we also have our very own Ramzi Jelassi with over 300k. As you have been reading from the twitter, majority of his stack was given to him by another swede Anton Wigg. Ramzi thanks..

Our other player Toni Ojala just never got the cards. His best hand was AJ and that took him out as his opponent was holding AK. Toni didnt have much to comment about his day, the best thing of his day was the free beer that he got from the shop just 10 minutes ago. Now our finnish champion is just looking a way to continue his road/poker trip in the mediterranean outside Barcelona on the 23rd. All our viewers will be able to follow his journey here at blogs.redkings.com with an exclusive journal. RedKings wishes him Good Luck!

Our german guest Severin is having a great day as well. He has been constantly at the top 20 and looks quite sure to get into the money, but lets not jinx it. The tall and relaxed german is standing in with 220k. Will try to get a interview with him later on.
