Bad Beat Berlin..

Friday, March 5th, 2010

David Wintersberger - Full housed and €13.000 richer.

David Wintersberger - Full housed and €13.000 richer.

David had A J on a beautiful flop showing J J 3. He bet out, and got re-raised, and just flat called the re-raise. Turn 8. Both player moves in, and we have a pot worth more than 600.000! Bad news for David when his opponent turns over 8 8 for the full house caught on the turn. David is out.

David Wintersberger has shown Germany and the world that he really is someone to look out for also on the live circuit. He finsihes 76th here in Berlin, and brings €13.000 home to his girlfriend.

Day 3 of EPT Berlin..

Friday, March 5th, 2010

6 starting, 1 left, this is the record Team RedKings has got so far in EPT Berlin. Again we have managed to get a player in to the money, this time the German prodigy David Wintersberger, who has been playing amazingly well on the tour this year but been bad beated one to many times.

EPT Berlin seems to be his tournament though, and if he continues like he has been playing the first two days, I don’t know where this will end.

We are down to 100 players, and David still got about what he started the day with, 160.000.

1 - €1,000,000
2 - €600,000
3 - €350,000
4 - €280,000

73-80 - €13,000

97-104 - €10,000

A minimum of €10.000 to David!

Ivo Donev misses the money..

Thursday, March 4th, 2010

Ivo Donev had 45.000 left with the blinds 2.000/4.000, when a russian player made it 9.000 and Ivo went all-in with A 5 and got called by the russian player with T J. The flop showed 5 but this didn’t help against the turn card that showed T and Ivo was out.

Now it is all up to David who has been really unlucky the last level. He’s down to 180.000, which is about the average stack.

Only 8 players left until David is in the money!

Toni can’t crack Aces..

Thursday, March 4th, 2010

Toni was down to 42.000 when following hand was played out. A player raised to 3.2k, and Toni with A K raised to 11.5k, everybody folded to the original raiser who moved all-in, Toni called.

Nothing interesting on the board and Toni loses the pot and his tournament life. “Vittu!”.

Day 1b goes to the history..

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

The 9 levels is over, and 12 hours after the players sat down at the tables, they can now go home to sleep after a long day at work.

Toni Ojala makes another day 2, can’t keep count on how many he has done through his career. He’s got 49.200 to bring with him for tomorrow.

Ivo “The Chessmaster” Donev also had a good day and ends up with 59.000. The old chess moves is still working fine for Ivo.

David Wintersberger is the third Team RedKings member to make it through to day 2, with 60.000.

The winner will go home with a huge price check if €1.000.000! And the 489 players that is left and in the hunt for that money continues tomorrow at 12:00 CET. Another blog freeroll will be announced..

Ramzi goes bust..

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

Ramzi Jelassi has had a cold deck all day, he was happy with his table but as he says himself “when the fishes gets Aces, straights or something else that you can’t beat it’s not easy to collect chips”. He was down to 13.000 when he was all-in with A 2 vs K J. The flop looked promising with A 2 8. Turn K. River K.

Wintersberger first lost a big pot with Q Q vs K K, and was down to 30.000. He then managed to double up with A K vs J J and now got 60.000 again.

Toni Ojala, 53.000

Ivo Donev, 40.000

We are now playing the last 7 hands of the day.

The nasty end and the dirty queen..

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

Stephan Kjerstad who in some way always manages to get unlucky on the river, has again got his ribs broken, head shot, fingers cut and in the end killed by the queen. He raised to 1.600 with A K, got 3-bet to 4.600, Stephan moved all-in for 21.000, and got called.

Stephan A K
Opponent A Q

Board 8 5 2 4 Q

Rivered by the lady, it’s like a bad movie where the girl ends up with the wrong guy. Let’s hope Stephan goes better on home-soil in the Norweigan Championships where he will be playing next!

Toni Ojala has got some Austrian chess company on his right, Ivo Donev is now next to him. Toni who has been pretty stable for a while, and now got 55.000. Ivo is in the same region with 45.000 after winning a pot with J J vs 9 T on the board 9 T 7 A A.

Ramzi Jelassi has been quiet from the start after winning one big hand, and losing another big hand. The Swede got about 38.000, but he is warning for action as the blinds are getting bigger.

David Wintersberger, 60.000

The avergae stack is 48.000, and we are going in to the last break and then we will play the last level for the day, level 9.

Fish and chips?

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

It’s time for dinner break, and as we mentioned earlier Toni Ojala has a special thing for fish and chips, so let’s see what he finds in the city of Berlin in this 90 minutes long break.

If we think more about the poker, we have finished 6 levels, and have three 1 hour long episodes left to follow.

Ramzi Jelassi, 36.000
Toni Ojala, 34.000 after losing a pre-flop all-in with JJ vs A K
David Wintersberger, 60.000
Stephan Kjerstad, 20.000
Ivo Donev, 40.000

So make yourself some food or get some snacks as it will be a long night! And it is only 14 minutes left until the blog freeroll starts!
