Richard Weiss - Mission2RedKings is over.

Richard Weiss - Mission2RedKings is over.

Richard Weiss one of our two Mission2RedKings qualifiers got dealt AK, and on the flop with KQ8, of course he was happy. His opponent was very wild and crazy, so when he put him all-in it was a easy call for Richard. Unfortunately his opponent who doesn’t really care about what happens on the table, as long as he gets to go to a new level on his Sony PSP, had KQ. No help on the turn or river and Richard goes to the buffet without coming back again.

On the same table just the hand before Toni Ojala had AK on the flop A109, Toni raised, his opponent re-raised and Toni went all-in and got called. Toni was long ahead with his AK vs AJ. On the turn both the players got three of a kind with another A, no pair on the board or J and Toni would double up. The river shows…….9. This means that both players has a full house and splits the pot and Toni is still on the start stack of 10.000.

Chip Counts:
Toni Ojala, 10.000
Per Linde, 6.600
Ramzi Jelassi, 15.000
Jonas “Molle” Molander, 4.800
Enrico Moldenbauer, 5.500
Ivo Donev, 8.000
Benjamin Schaub, 16.000
Thomas Erichsen, 21.000

Everybody is now going on a dinner break for an hour. And remember that you still have 15 minutes to register to the $250 Freeroll at RedKings.com! Password: sanremo

Per Linde goes all-in.. and out?

Per Linde - Ladies man

Per Linde - Ladies man

Per Linde first played in a pot where he got re-raised on the river and he had to fold as he knew his opponent had him beaten, this pot took him down to about 4.000 in chips. A few hands later he gets dealt QQ, after some betting he is all-in vs AK. It is time for the classic coinflip, AK vs QQ. Per just need to dodge an Ace or King to double up. The dealer shows the flop, and there it is, the awful ace. Per is really in need of a lovely lady now, the turn doesn’t give it to him. Now it is up to the river to help, and here it comes……………Q! Per gets one of the two Queens that still is in the deck and doubles up to about 8.000!

J-P Jachtmann has been shortstacked for a while, and needed to get some action to get his chips back. He just had a coinflip with A10 vs 99, all-in pre flop. Mr. Jachtmann needed an A or 10 to double his 1.500 big stack up. Flop is just three low cards, and so is turn, was he going to be as lucky as Per Linde? Unfortunately not, and J-P Jachtmann has to leave the tournament, and get back to his work as a journalist. As fast as an RedKings player goes out another one takes his seat, this time it is Ramzi Jelassi that will try to have more luck on this table.

More chipcounts is coming soon…

Don’t miss the freeroll that starts at 19:15 CET (one hour from now). The password is “sanremo” and it is completely free to join! Tournament name: blogs.redkings.com FR.

Good luck!

And then they were 10…

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

We started the day with the amazing number of 11 players, now we have played for a little bit over 2 hours and we still have 10 left. So who was it that went out first in the red army?

Christian Heich was very shortstacked, and had to do something, he saw an opportunity when there was 4 limpers (players who only calls the big blind). He decided to put his last 1.000 chips into the pot, and one of the 4 limpers decided to call. Christian shows the J4 suited, and his caller shows two 6’s. Christian needed some help now, but nothing on the flop, nothing on the turn, and on the river it stands clear that Christian has to leave his seat. This seat has now been taken over by Ivo “the chessmaster” Donev, which means that we still have two RedKings players on the table.

Christian never got the chance to show his amazing skills today, but what I already know is that we will see more from this guy, and that will be soon!

Up and Down..

Christian Heich - Struggling

Christian Heich - Struggling

Christian Heich is doing his first major live tournament after his great positions in the Aussie Million just two months ago. From that tournament he has become very well-known in poker Germany, and now he is back to play on home-soil. So far he has been a roller coaster, a roller coaster that starts high and then just go down. He is now really struggling not to be one of the first players out, he is down to 1600 in chips. There is definitely some all-ins to come, but remember the rule “chip and a chair”.

Ramzi Jelassi is showing off his poker skills. Ramzi raises to 250, gets a call from the Big Blind. Flop comes out AsKs7, Big Blind checks, Ramzi bets, Big Blind calls. Turn is another spade, Big Blind check, Ramzi checks behind. River shows another spade, now 4 spades on the table. The Big Blind player decides to bet out 750, and after some thinking Ramzi calls. Big Blind directly mucks his cards and Ramzi shows A3 of clubs, for a pair of ace. He takes the chips and says with a smile:
-Unbluffable

Peter Eastgate the winner of WSOP Main event 2008 is here to play, he has got hard table to start of with though. Ramzi Jelassi and Jonas Molander will do everything in their power to stop him, and they really got a chance as they are all sitting on the same table. Ramzi has started off good, and by a few small pots he is up to 12.000.

J-P Jachtmann - 6.000

J-P Jachtmann - 6.000

The other guys are pretty stable on the starting stacks, except two that has lost some pots. J-P Jachtmann has about 6.000 and Per Linde 5.600, no worries yet though as they still have a stack big enough to build with.

RedKings fighting..

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

I wrote in my earlier post that I hoped that we won’t get any battles between the RedKings players. Seems like the poker gods wasn’t with me on that wish, because the impossible has happened. It is not only on 1 table where we have 2 RedKings players, it is 3!!

Ramzi and Molle, loved by the railers.

Ramzi and Molle, loved by the railers.

At table 34 we find our two Swedish superstars, Ramzi Jelassi and Jonas “Molle” Molander. This is definitely going to be a interesting table, and there is already lots of railers (people that watch when other people play) around the table.

At table 11 we find our pro Toni Ojala battling against our Mission2RedKings qualifier Richard Weiss.

At table 12 we have a RedKings german battle with the youung superstar Christian Heich and Benjamin Schaub!

The RedKings stars

The RedKings stars

From left: Per Linde, J-P Jachtmann, Benjamin Schaub, Ivo Donev, Enrico Moldenhauer, Christian Heich, Thomas Erichsen, Richard Weiss, Ramzi Jelassi, Jonas “Molle” Molander and Toni Ojala

Team RedKings is now gathered in Casino Hohensyburg to play in the Main Event of EPT Dortmund by Pokerstars.com. We will have 11 RedKings players starting today at 14:00 CET (will probably be a little delay).

Ramzi and Molle is as usual relaxing in the bar and mingling around with other poker stars. J-P Jactmann, the big german star, can’t leave his work as a big poker journalist so he is walking around making interviews and getting interviewed. Our qualifiers are all a bit nervous, but that is usually a good thing, especially when you have players as Ivo Donev, Toni Ojala and Ramzi Jelassi relaxing you with strategies for the tournament. The spirit in the team before the tournament is great, let’s hope it stays that way and we don’t get any big RedKings battles at the tables, if we do you will hear all about it here in the blog.

Yesterday there was 306 starting players, 115 players of them made it through to the second day. Today they are expecting a number in the same region, lets just hope that some or why not all of our Red pros goes on to the second day.

As soon as anything interesting happens you will be able to read it here in the blog. Don’t miss out on this action!
