Ivo Donev

Ivo Donev

I was as usual right about Ivo, he is out. He went all in with 1010 and got called by AK, when the K came up on the flop Ivo needed a 10 to show on the turn or river, but it didn’t. He lost that pot of about 30.000 and still actually had a few thousand left but he went all-in with that small stack just a few hands after and he couldn’t win back his chips there, so Ivo is out. Ivo will be back in Monte Carlo, and he will also play in the same event as Molle will play in tomorrow, the €2000 side event, you will hear more about that then.

The players just now took a 15 minutes break after they have been playing for 2 hours, and you always get surprised over how many players goes out those first hours of day two. We started the day with 486 players and are now down to 300 players, 121 of those 300 will get into the money in this huge tournament, and one of them will go away with the enormous prize of €1.507.000!

So about three RedKings players that is still in, as I said in my previous post Christoph had got some great cards today and now he got the sometimes so good hand AK, he went all-in against QQ, and won! He has now gone from 16.000 to 40.000 in two hours!! Ramzi and Per is doing good as well, Per with 33.000, and Ramzi about 48.000.

You are still allowed to answer in the quiz, even though one question now is very easy! Also don’t forget to register for tonights blog freeroll at 20:00 CEST, password is “teamrk”

The rest of the guys is all building their stacks, Per has now grinded up to 33.000 and Ramzi 48.000. Christoph has got some fabulous cards lately, not only once he got dealt two aces, but twice! He didn’t get out as much he wanted from it but it took him up to 19.000.

Ivo gets his daily massage..

Ivo - In heaven

Ivo - In heaven

Ivo is a man with needs, at the poker table you can think his need is to get good cards or have luck, it probably also is but he also have another thing he needs, a daily massage from his favorite masseuse. So just after an hour of play he now gets his massage. He is down to 11.000, so I hope this helps!

Per “The toothbrush” Linde is down to about 22.000, after a few smaller lost pots, where he had to fold. I talked to Per and he was very happy with how he played yesterday, he only came to showdown twice during the 8 levels which usually means that you have played very good.

Ramzi Jelassi has like he usually does with big stacks, maked it even bigger. He is now up to 46.000, without any special hands. Christoph has about 13.000, and really needs to find some hands soon, maybe another miraculous J9?

The average stack is: 30.000 and there are 392 players remaining which means that already almost 80 players is out today!

Chipcounts:
Ramzi Jelassi - 46.000
Per Linde - 22.000
Ivo Donev - 11.000
Christoph Dierkes - 13.000

Don’t forget to answer the quiz and win prices! Without paying, just reading. In my next post you will also find the freeroll password, no reason not to follow this..

Day 2 started, and so does a new Quiz!

Monday, April 20th, 2009

All the RedKings players has survived the first 20 minutes of day 2, so everything looks promising for the coming hours.

Per Linde was comfortable at his table, he just felt a bit weird as he has a toothbrush lying in his pocket, don’t ask me why but poker players are not like normal people..

Of course there is a new quiz today, and we have another 3 $20+$2 tournament tickets to hand out:
1. How many Team RedKings players goes on to day 3? (Maximum answer is 4)
2. Who gets unlucky and goes out first of our magic 4?
3. What will be the total chip count for those RedKings players that you think will go through to day 3?

Answer by making a comment to this post with the answers together with your RedKings username!

This is not the only funny thing you get by reading this blog, soon I will release the password for tonights $250 freeroll!

I can feel a straight flush coming, so be with me!

Time for day 2, with 4 RedKings players..

Monday, April 20th, 2009

We had a good day yesterday as more than 50% of our players went through to the second day, to be more specific it was 4 out of 7. The seat draw for day 2 is done, and here is the players our RedKings need to beat:

Ivo Donev - Table 21

Ivo Donev - Table 21

Table 21:
Ivo Donev - 16.100
Julien Legros - 15.000
Jaakko Lauttamus - 13.700
Thor Drexel - 9.900
Tommi Mikael Etelapera - 44.700
Johannes Korsar - 44.300
Benjamin Wilinofsky - 39.100
Michele Giordano - 25.000
Daniel Gazaway - 21.800
Jonatan Soderstrom - 20.300

Table 5:
Ramzi Jelassi - 40.400
Brock Legault - 33.400
Simone Debbia - 33.300
Richard Webb - 23.200
Antonio Maria Croce - 19.700
Danilo D’Ettoris - 19.400
Fabio Bianchi - 14.900
Carmelo Fabrizio Lazzaro - 12.100
Arnaud Mattern - 11.000
Luigi Tallarico - 54.400

Per Linde - 28.000

Per Linde - 28.000

Table 10:
Per Linde - 28.000
Luigi Abiusi - 52.900
Bruno Stefanelli - 39.100
Pierre Neuville - 33.300
Jose Vazquez Ortega - 28.500
Mikhail Tulchinskiy - 27.900
Davide Pennelli - 26.800
Rolando Camardese - 25.800
Pier Luca Salassa - 25.700
Mario Gennaro - 24.900

Table 18:
Christoph Dierkes - 18.400
Salvatore Pengue - 15.300
Luca Casadei - 14.300
Rasmus Lovdell - 11.900
Hougaard Lars - 7.500
Massimo Reynaud - 21.100
Renato Almeida - 20.800
Johan Storakers - 19.400
Pascal Perrault - 17.600
Kevin Macphee - 17.100

Interesting stuff you can see here is that Ramzi will be playing against Arnaud Mattern, but he is very shortstacked, so a few push from his side is probably the first you will hear about. An other thing is that at Christoph Dierkes table everybody is under the average stack, and Christoph is in the top with his small stack, interesting..

We are still playing 10-handed, which makes the gameplay a little bit more tight, but as the blinds now is starting to get high (starts today with 400/800 and ante of 100) the game will be more loose, if now the Italians can be more loose than they already are..

It will soon come up a new quiz for today and also yesterdays winners will be presented.

Stay tuned for more fun!

4 players on to day 2, with some luck…

Sunday, April 19th, 2009

Christoph Dierkes, goes on to day 2

Christoph Dierkes, goes on to day 2

Christoph had been short for a while and had to do something, he was down to 5.000 when he pushed his stack into the middle, he had J9 suited, not a very strong hand but when you don’t have any chips you have to hope to win some blinds. Anyway, he got 2 (!) callers, one with A10, and one with KK. He still had a chance to win the pot, he had flush and straight possibilities. If the river didn’t give Molle a life vest, it definitely did for Christoph, a straight on the river gave him a triple up and 15.000 in chips!

Per Linde - Finally day 2!

Per Linde - Finally day 2!

There has happened more things, especially for Per Linde, first he was all in with AJ vs KQ in a 15.000 pot. It looked good until the river, when a K came up and Per fell down to 15.000 in chips. Then a few hands later he picks up the hand that is even more beautiful than “RedKings”, the two aces, and when his opponent had two Js, everything went in there. This time the Aces stood up and Per goes up to what he will finish the day on, 27.950.

The day is over, and we got 4 players through out of 7 to day 2. Ramzi as the leader, this is how it looks:
1. Ramzi Jelassi - 40.400
2. Per Linde - 27.950
3. Ivo Donev - 16.000
4. Christoph Dierkes - 15.000

It all starts tomorrow again at 14:00 CEST with about 470 players, and as the blinds go up the action is just getting better and better. There will also be some more fun stuff going on, such as freerolls and quizzes!

This is the site to be on tomorrow! Just a note to make it a bit more interesting, the winner will get €1.507.000! More about that tomorrow…

Never wish for action..

Molle - Better luck in the side event!

Molle - Better luck in the side event!

After my last post I really hoped to find something interesting to give you, so I walk around the tables looking for streakers or interesting hands and I find Molle with all his chips in the middle, apparently he had been losing a few smaller pots before that hand who had taken him down to about 7.000, he was all-in with AJ and met two 8s, the flop wasn’t very promising with 566 - turn 7, now he needed to get saved by the river or he would drown, the river didn’t give him a life vest and Molle went out. This time I am not going to say that the EPT is over for Molle, as he is the specialist in side events. Two 4th positions the last €2000 side events is impressing, so on Tuesday he is going for another one (not a 4th position).

Ramzi Jelassi - 33.000
Ivo Donev - 21.000
Per Linde - 24.000
Christoph Dierkes 7.000

Only 30 minutes left, and about 320 players, but this last minutes usually is the time when players are falling down like leaves…

70 minutes of poker left of day 1b..

Sunday, April 19th, 2009

Which means that we are soon going in to our last level (level 8). All 5 players still in the tournament, most of them over average.

The action has been lower than ever before, and I have trouble with giving you the pleasure you need from the blog, I could tell you that the rumor about Christian Vieri was false, and we have to be happy with the old Swedish football pro Tomas Brolin instead, doesn’t make me too excited, but maybe there is a fan somewhere out there?

Here are the new chip count:
Ramzi Jelassi - 32.000
Ivo Donev - 20.000
Jonas “Molle” Molander - 16.000
Per Linde - 23.000
Christoph Dierkes - 7.000

Who will be the Team RedKings chip leader after day 1b?

5 players still in and improving..

Sunday, April 19th, 2009

So far the day has been successful for Team RedKings, 5 out of 7 starting is still in after soon 7 hours of poker.

Per has built his stack a little bit and is now up too 18.000, a little bit food made him fresh and he now felt that he had a edge over the rest of the table, even if they also just ate. Ivo is in a good mood today, every time I show up at his table he lets me follow his play by showing me his hands, I will also share this with you readers when there will be a big pot.

Ramzi and Christoph is on a dinner break, and Molle has about 19.000.

Here is the result of yesterdays Quiz: Correct answer 1178, closest guess 1189 by Dreamkiller! Dreamkiller please comment this post with your RedKings username.

Molle Wins..

Molle Wins..

Molle hasn’t had any big swings today, but he recently played in a very interesting pot. Molla raised pre flop to 600, and his fellow Swede Oscar Silow called, the flop came out 823 all in hearts, Silow checked, Molle bets 1125, Silow thinks and then raises to 2600, Molle calls after a while. The turn is 2 of Diamonds, and Silow checks, now Molle bets Silow all in. Silow folds after a few minutes and Molle gets the pot and is now up to about 16.000.

We have 390 player remaining and an average stack of about 16.000.

These are the chip counts at the moment:
Ramzi Jelassi - 27.000
Jonas “Molle” Molande - 16.000
Ivo Donev - 29.900
Per Linde - 14.000
Christoph Dierkes - 10.000

Who is your favorite?
