Big Blind kills David..

Thursday, March 25th, 2010

A player raised in early position, and David was in the Big Blind and with already 80.000 in the pot he saw a perfect spot to boost his stack when he found _Ah _9s and went all-in. Unfortunately his opponent snap called and turned over _Ks _Kh.

Now we got to the moment where you wish an ace on the board more than you wish Sweden to win the World Cup in football.

Flop _Kd _Qd _3c….COMEON STRAIGHT! ONE TIME!
Turn _7s…Apparently not this time.
River _8h.

David Wintersberger - A true hero.

David Wintersberger - A true hero.

David leaves the tournament in 21st place, but the shape he is in at the moment, it wouldn’t surprise me if we soon see him diving deep in a tournament again!

Well played David! We are amazed!

That is all from Hinterglemm, thank you all for reading, this will be my last blog post in a long time!

Slowly, slowly..

Thursday, March 25th, 2010

When you don’t get any cards, you have to be creative, and that is just the skill David is using now, his right side of the brain. Without needing to show his cards a single time he has taken himself up to 360.000.

22 players is now remaining, and David is really making a serious try to get to that final table starting tomorrow!

Playing Level 21, with 8.000/16.000 and an ante of 2.000, meaning David got 20 BB to play with!

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

We are down to 24 players, David is one of them, he is not in the lead, but it’s all about being alive in tournaments. He’s got 229.000 going in to day 4.

This also means that David can count on some more money, he is now guaranteed €10.200!

Well done, Good Game!

Be back here tomorrow at 14:00 CET to follow Davids journey against the final table!

The man, the myth, the legend..

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

The David Wintersberger. We are down to 27 players, and only 3 more to go until we put this day 3 in the books of poker history.

David was involved in a hand where he doubled a player up with _5h _5c on a flop looking very interesting with _3s _4c _6h, but his opponent was even stronger with _As _Ac and David now got 260.000.

Lets hold our thumbs, legs, hands, and whatever else you can think of to keep David alive to day 4!

Down to 32..

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

After a dinner break, and some hands later we are already down to 32 players which means a new step on the payout ladder. Unfortunately one of our heroes won’t be climbing this ladder as he just played his last hand in EPT Snowfest.

Just after the break he was all-in with _Ah _Qc vs _Th _Ts and he couldn’t find any help of the board and got left with a small stack of 20.000. After being able to actually work this stack up to 90.000 again, he then got to the coin flip that could be his last.

Ivo Donev: _Ah _Kc
Opponent: _5h _5s

Board: _Kh _Jh _3s _Ks _8d

Ivo leaves in 34th position earning himself €7.400!

David is still going strong, and got 330.000 to play around with. It’s all up to him now!

Well played by The Chessmaster!

Bon Apetit..

Poker Players also has the urge to eat, just as any other human being, hard to understand but they are actually originally from the same species as you and me, it’s just that they prefer chips to anything else.

David Wintersberger got 374.000 when going to dinner, and Ivo is just about 120.000 behind him with 250.000.

42 players remaining, and we are playing down to 24 today. Next level will be level 19 (5.000/10.000, ante 500).

Goo Team RedKings!

Riverlove..

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

Ivo had about 120.000 when he moved all-in pre-flop and got called.

Ivo _Qs _Qh
Opponent _As _Ac

Flop _8c _5s _6h…2 outs for Ivo
Turn _7c…2 outs for Ivo to win, and 8 for split pot.
River _Qd…!!!!!!!!! Out is in!

Double up for Ivo and now they both got very healthy stacks.

Ivo Donev, 250.000
David Wintersberger, 350.000

46 players remaining…

Double up and double down..

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

This is a really hard post to write, as there is some very good news and some very bad news, it’s one of those crying with a smile faces again.

As you know by now David and Ivo is situated at the same table. Ivo raised pre-flop and David called. Flop came out _Jd _5d _5h. Ivo checked in the dark (he checked before the flop was on the board), David bet out, and Ivo quickly announced “All-in”. David calls.

Ivo _Ad _Qd (Flush draw)
David _Ah _5c (Trips)

Turn _5s and David quads and wins the pot of 350.000.

Ivo is unfortunately down to 110.000.

That’s poker, baby!

“ALL-IN!”

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

Ivo has been a little bit annoyed the last 15 minutes, and he was in the middle of a discussion with a floorman when he looked down at his cards and with a small scream he announced “ALL-IN!”.

If we take the story from the beginning there was a player before Ivo who already moved all-in for about 65.000, after Ivos all-in the rest of the players showed him respect and folded.

Ivo _Th _Tc
Opponent _Ac _Kh

Flop _3h _Td _Qs…Looking good
Turn _4s…Marvelous!
River _7c…Excellent!

Ivo knocks the player out.

Ivo goes up to 255.000, and David still got about 170.000. It is going down in a fast pace now, we are already down to 60!
