RedKings for Heich..

Friday, July 10th, 2009

Christian Heich - 220.000

Christian Heich - 220.000

Christian Heich got dealt KK pre-flop, actually it was RedKings, and got all-in against the worst hand possible (for Heich) AA. If no help on the board, Heich would lose almost his whole stack. The Flop came out, 8..3..K! and the turn and river didn’t bring any aces so Heich is now up to 220.000 in the first break!

Ivo “The Chessmaster” Donev has also improved his chip stack on the first level up to 165.000, by playing extremely good in the hands that he has been active in.

The Chessmaster - 165.000

The Chessmaster - 165.000

I got to Ramzis table when the flop was out 8cJc5s, and one player raises to 4.000, another player calls and then last to act is Ramzi who re-raises to 12.000. The first raiser folds quickly and the other player calls after a while. Turn brings us Ks, Ramzis opponent checks and Ramzi bets out 20.000, his opponent thinks for a long time, standing up and it looks like it hurts when he trows his hand away. Ramzi gives us the true story, he only had 77, but put his opponent on AQ of clubs or similar. Later on Ramzi loses a big pot with QQ, when he hits the straight on the river, but his opponent hits the nut flush. He now has 113.000.

Toni Ojala is still on 70.000, waiting for some hands that could give him some action, with this structure there is nor rush to do anything..

We have 1683 players left with an average chip stack of 115.000..

Heich starts off like a rocket..

Friday, July 10th, 2009

We have been playing on day 3 for about an hour and all RedKings players is still in there..

I came to Christian Heichs table when the table showed 2c4h5c, Qd, Kc and Heich bet out 15.500, and quickly got called. Heich turned over 79c for the flush and the other player mucked. Heich has already boosted his stack up to 149.000.

Ivo Donev, 115.000
Ramzi Jelassi, 101.000

We are today playing 5 levels, 120 minutes for each as usual.

Christian Heich through to day 3..

Thursday, July 9th, 2009

Christian Heich - 88.000

Christian Heich - 88.000

We had 4 RedKings players starting, but after bad beats and bad runs three of them fell, one did survive and that was the German Christian Heich. After starting off with bad timing and a failed bluff he was down to about 35.000, but from that he fought his way back and ended the day on 88.000.

So that makes it in total 4 RedKings players making it to day 3, together with a little bit over 2000 players.

Tomorrow everybody will have a day off, to be able to rest all their big minds for a day to come back on Friday and show the world the best poker ever been played! See you all then…

Here is the chip stack of the 4 remaining Team RedKings players:
Ivo Donev, 116.500
Ramzi Jelassi, 107.300
Christian Heich, 88.000
Toni Ojala, 60.700

Finally some good news..

Thursday, July 9th, 2009

After a bad streak for Team RedKings with 3 players leaving within an hour, we or at least I really needed this:

One player raised pre-flop another one called, Heich re-raised, and the first raiser folded but the caller went all-in. Christian was thinking for a long time until he said “I can’t fold this hand” and calls. His opponent shows QQ and Christian turns over KK. The board runs out 764105 and Heich doubles up to 105.000!

Only 80 minutes left to play for the day..

Last level of the day..

Thursday, July 9th, 2009

And I have some bad news for you, Stephan was down to 13.000, and went all-in on the button. Small blind folded, Big Blind took a minute or two and then called. Stephan had A8 and his opponent had 88. The flop came out 782, giving his opponent the top set, Stephan did have the runner runner flush draw though and on turn there was another club, but the river was a diamond and Stephan also leaves the tournament.

Only Christian Heich left to cheer for today, he’s got 55.000 and the average stack is up to 78.300.

Hopefully Christian will be the fourth player joining Team RedKings on day 3..

Double bust..

Thursday, July 9th, 2009

Molle had been owning Ivey all day long, with 3-bets and 4-bets, and almost every time Molle was the winner of the pots between them two.

Ivey bet out 2200, Molle raised to 6700, Ivey says 20.000 and Molle goes over the top and moves all-in with his AK. Ivey calls with KK. No ace on the flop..No Ace on the turn..No Ace on the river and Molle leaves WSOP Main Event 2009, after losing a 220.000 big pot vs Phil Ivey. I am still impressed over his game today, but Ivey went at last out as the winner of the battle..

First Timo Annala lost a huge pot on this board A7JKJ, Timo was holding KJ for a full house but his opponent had AA for a even higher full house. Shortly after that he pushed the 10.000 he had left in with 77, and got called by 88 and Timo also had to leave the tournament. Very well played Timo as well, just not that extra luck that is needed.

This is a bad hour for Team RedKings, but we still have 5 players in there, two of them playing right now.

Christian Heich, 62.000
Stephan Kjerstad, 17.000

Timo doubles up, just before dinner..

Timo Annala - Online Qualifier

Timo Annala - Online Qualifier

Timo Annala was on Jeff Lisandros table, and then the table got broken up and everybody moved to new tables, and guess what…Jeff Lisandro is still on Timo Annalas table. This doesn’t scare Timo who just managed to double up his stack, with 1010, and a 10 on the turn he managed to get all his chips in there and also get called, his opponent had 105 for two pair, and a pot of 55.000 went over to Timo which he goes to dinner break with.

Also Christian Heich got a surprise when he had to leave his old table, at his new table he found the newly married Chad Brown (married with Vanessa Rousso), Chad is shortstacked so should not be anything to worry to much about. Christian has also boosted his stack up to 57.000 and is back on track.

Christian Heich - Back on track..

Christian Heich - Back on track..

Molle goes to dinner break with 88.000, he has been battling a lot with Phil Ivey, and Molle thought he was a bit steamed. Looking good.

Stephan is still looking for that double up, he now has 20.000 in chips and next level the blinds is going to be 400/800, so if there is a raise before him it almost has to be a push or fold..

2.232 players of the 2.924 starting is now going for a dinner break..

Heich takes a hit..

Molander vs Ivey..

Molander vs Ivey..

Heich started the day with a huge stack of 91.050, but after the first level on day 2b he has lost two major pots, the first one took him down to 70.000, and then this happened:
Heich raised pre-flop on the button and got called by the big blind, the flop was 276 and the Big Blind checked, Christian bet out 2800, got re-raised to 8.000, and quickly after that he decides to put his opponent all-in, and gets snap called. His opponent shows 66 for a set, and Christian is not happy with that when he shows his 88. No help on turn or river and Heich is down to 38.000.

The Molle vs Ivey battle is a real heavy weight fight, maybe not literally, but if you count in mind muscles. This is proved by all the TV-cameras, photographers, reporters and in particular all the railers that has gathered around the table. In the first break Molle has 58.000.

Stephan is looking for a double up at his table, a table that he said himself he was very happy with. Let’s hope that he can get one. 23.125 for him.

Timo has about 35.000.

Star struck?

Wednesday, July 8th, 2009

It is not only Molle who has got a big star player at his table. We also have our qualifier who is sitting down at the same table as the current leader of the player of the year ranking, Jeff Lisandro.

Molle has really not shown any signs of respect for Mr. Ivey. An example is this hand when the player before the button raised to 1200, Ivey on the button re-raised to 3600, and Molle on the small blind goes over the top and bets out 9800. Both player folds. This is not the only battle they have had, and there is going to be many of them until their table will be broken up.

Timo Annala doesn’t look very star struck, he is just playing his game and now has about 39.000.

Christian Heich has already started his regular swings, right now he is down to 70.000, but it’s Christian Heich..

Stephan Kjerstad the only of the 4 players who got a seat in the main room, the amazon room. He has started by going up and down a bit today, first up to 40k, by winning a pot with AQ, and now down to 28k by getting good starting hands but no flops.

I can’t wait to see their chip stacks after these 4 levels has ended!
