Silvio back from Vegas..

Monday, August 30th, 2010

Hi everyone!

I have returned from LasVegas, from Dextor tournament at Hard Rock Café, a tournament that offered me a lot of emotions. I was playing all day long at the table that was shown on TV. However the destiny played a bad joke upon me, when during a decisive hand the goddess of Fortune turned against me decisively.

A super-aggressive player (not to call him mad) calls out of position, and I raise 3X the BB, in dealer position, with AK suited (clubs), all fold, and he calls, after having thought for a while. The flop shows Q-9-3, I am in…He checks and I bet, he thinks again and then calls. Turn shows a 6 and 2 clubs on the table. He checks again, in this position I calculate my odds and then I bet the value of the pot, he thinks for a while and calls in a mad call, and with cards on the table he shows Q-10 non suited. Given that the table is shown on TV and the pot is important, 2 long minutes pass till the River is shown… and in the meantime the goddess of Fortune went off for a coffee…the River shows a 10!!! I remain short stacked, and I go out a bit after, with K-K against 5-6 suited. It was definitely a well played tournament, but unfortunate… See you next time!

prossima!

IPT Venice….Day1 passed, with 40.8K, average chips 40K, 38th on 100 players left

I play a lot of hands, the last hand I entered was at level 9, antes 100 blinds 400/800. All fold, I receive A-Q in cutoff position, and I raise 1800 (my stack: 24k), the dealer re-raises 3x for 4100, SB & BB fold, and I call.
Flop A-7-3, I check, he bets 5.500 and I call, turn 10. I check again, he checks, river 4, I check, he bets 11.500 and I call. He shows pocket K-K and I take a nice pot. Tomorrow starts Day1b, for this I have a day to rest, cause on Saturday I play Day2.

See you soon…

A presto!!!

Silvio out in day 3 and its unbelievable..

Friday, July 16th, 2010

However, during the last minutes of Day 3 I get out of the tournament close to being ITM, there are a bit more than 1000 players (from 7319 entries)

The decisive hand was the following : one girl in the middle of the table raises, I - in Dealer position - I bet 3X with pocket AA, all of them fold and the woman calls. Flop A-2-2, she goes all-in (with a stack a bit lower than mine), I call instantly, she shows pocket 2s and her 4 of a kind beats my Full House. From 70.000 I’m down to 20.000 chips. I go up to 50.000 chips, to have after another bad beat, AK suited (me) against AQ suited, board showing Q-2-Q-10-4, and by chance I had more chips than him and I remain with 18k in front of me. I play my last hand after that, in BB position, with 4-5 suited hearts: with a limp from someone in the middle and limp in of the SB, Flop comes: K-K-4, with 1 K of hearts, check of the SB, I go all in, the player in the middle calls, SB folds, turn 2 of hearts, but
river 10 black… For me it was a implacable Day3

Greeting to all of you

Sivio

Silvio makes it to day 2 in the WSOP..

Monday, July 12th, 2010

I had a very difficult Day2, I had to play a lot of hands without good cards, only by taking advantage of the position and of knowing my opponents. The only 3 stakes I played with good cards had a negative outcome on the whole: 2 hands lost and 1 hand won.

1st hand

I get AK with A clubs, in the middle one player goes all-in for 12k, I call in Dealer position, with 65k. The BB is also shortstacked and calls. Flop turns 10-J-3, with 2 clubs, turn shows another club, I have plenty of odds to win, however river turns 8 hearts and the hand is lost.

2nd hand

I get AK hearts, in SB position, all players fold, I raise and BB goes all in for 24K, I have 55K and call. He shows K-Q, however the board shows implacable 10-3-Q-Q-4, not even one heart, hand lost again.

3rd hand

I get AA in the dealer position, all fold except for 3 players, who were out for stealing the blinds. I overbet to make them think I was trying to steal the blinds. The SB only calls, showing a weak hand, and BB realizing that goes all-in for 35K. I have almost his stack so I call instantly, SB folds, BB shoes 10-J. The flop comes a bit dangerous, 7-8-K, but the turn and the river show 3-J and I double my stack. Now a bit of rest and on Monday at noon (LasVegas time) I start playing Day3

Kind regards from Vegas,

Silvio

Silvio makes it to day 2 in the WSOP..

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

Silvio is in Day 2 of the WSOP main event.

Bellow his article for the blog:

ENGLISH

Day 1 passed!

A main event really difficult, played 5 levels of 2 hours each, and I finish Day1 with a stack of 30.5K , a bit under the average but still in a good position.

The 2 most important hands of the day:

At the end of 3rd level, I get KQ diamonds, in dealer position. 2 players limp in, I raise 3x, the 1st folds, the second calls. Flop K-Q-8. He bets again, I call only. The turn shows K and in this moment I have the nuts and try to get all his chips. He overbets, remaining with only 7k. If I raise I risk that he folds, so I only check. River shows a 10 and he goes all-in with Q-10, I call instantly for a pot of 23k, so I am up to 55K now…

After the 4th level, I get pocket queens QQ, UTG limps in, and so does another one in the middle… I bet 3.5X the BB, UTG folds and the middle one calls. Flop: J-10-9. I bet, he bet 3X, I call. Turn: A. I check, he bets, I
call, river shows a 4. He bets again, I call, btu I lose the pot, against A-Q. A pot of around 16K

Now 3 days to rest, (there will be Day1b, Day1c, Day1d) and on Friday I play Day2.

Greetings from Vegas,

Silvio

ITALIAN

Day 1 superato !!!!

Saludos.

Better known as “SuKer” amongst the Starcraft-Broodwar aficionados, many Starcraft players play poker very well due to the similarities in the strategy. In the poker world he is better known as Elvividor, for 3 years he has been playing as a professional poker player. He has played most of his hands at the RedKings tables where only in one year he managed to accumulate a large sum playing in medium limits tables (nl0.5/1, nl1/2 nl2/4). To honour his nick name “ El vividor “ has wasted money and enjoyed himself as well as managed to buy a house, car and a business .
He is joining now the live poker scene, but he will still play at the cash tables. He hopes to have a lot of success playing side to side with his Team mates and Redkings.

Silvio drops Tom Dwan

Monday, June 21st, 2010

WSOP: Event 36: $1.000 no-limit hold’em

Day 1: 3500 players

Bad start… I get pocket kings KK against a player who was short stacked
and goes all-in with 7 -8 suited, I lose 1,5K , because of the table
showing: 7-7-J-Q-A. Then I knock out the famous Tom Durrr Dwan with QQ: he
raises pre-flop, I re-raise, he goes all-in and I call, for a 4,6k pot. He
shows 9-9, but my queens resist and Durrr is out.
At the end of Day1, a bit under the average stack I raise UTG 3 times the
BB, with KK, all fold except BB who goes all-in, his stack just above mine.
I cannot fold the pocket kings and call. The worst nightmare comes out, my
opponent showing AA. However the flop gives me some chances: 10-J-Q, but the
turn and the river don’t help me (2 -3) and I’m out, 500th…

Durr e’ Player out.
ti grazia.
