Ramzi Jelassi - 66.000

Ramzi Jelassi - 66.000

Ramzi Jelassi and Ivo Donev is 2 out of 7 Team RedKings player playing the Main Event, both of them have today showed what top class the team is as they went through to the second day. I will add that about 800 players more out of the 1116 player starting also managed to do it.

Ramzi Jelassi who was up to a big stack early in the day, also finishes with a stack well over average, 66.000. He didn’t get any hands the last level, and he felt that he couldn’t continue with the same style that he has been using the previous levels as he had a to loose image and only wanted to play good hands, and that is usually what differs the pros from a regular player, be able to change his way of playing after his table image. Very well played by Ramzi.

Ivo Donev - Day 2 in Main Event

Ivo Donev - Day 2 in Main Event

Ivo Donev, the chessmaster, has another time made it to the second day in this series, and it is hard not to get impressed by how well he is playing. It is almost impossible to take any chips from Ivo, and this is proven by that he all the time today just got a bigger and bigger chip stack without any special hands, he just lost one big hand which he gave me the full story about, enjoy:
A Canadian short stacked player raised it to 800 pre-flop (level 4 150/300), Ivo calls behind with 8h10h, just because of the position and the chip stack, The flop comes out Ks9h3d, Canadian checks, Ivo checks behind, turn is 6h giving Ivo a straight flush draw and a gutshot straight draw. The Canadian player bets out 1000, Ivo thinks that if he bets out 3000 and he goes all-in he has to call so instead he re-raises to 7000, which means that the short stacked player has to go all-in if he wants to call. He goes into the tank for a few minutes before he announces call and flips over pocket 7s. The river is a Q of diamond not helping Ivo. Ivo here loses a big pot and thinks that the play his opponent does is not good, and that he should had folded pocket 7s.

Ivo ended the day with 51.000 chips and with that he is also well over the average. Tomorrow we have our Finnish Champion Toni Ojala who has showed that he is in his best shape for a long time after making three cashes in this WSOP, last one just a couple of days ago in Event 54. Tomorrow he is entering the Main Event and if the structure fits good players, it definitely fits Toni!

See you all tonight at 22:00 CEST when day 1b starts!
