I participated in many tournaments in different European countries – I had ups and downs as everyone does. I learned about
online poker after getting a job in one of the poker-rooms where I stayed for approximately a year. Currently I play both online and live poker. The GSOP Live event in Malta will be the 2nd event for me in this great series of poker events.

I got into poker about 2 years ago. I saw one of my friends playing online and also decided to give it a try. I had absolutely no experience and lost some money. I didn’t give up though, made another $100 deposit and started from micro stake tournaments and Sit&Go’s. Meanwhile, I was trying to improve my game. From that point, I managed to slowly build up my bankroll. Finally, I found out that I probably can make enough money playing poker online. After that I never looked back

Now I play mainly MTTs, but also try to improve my skills in cash games (NL Holdem and PLO).

“My name is Nedelcu Narcis Gabriel, alias Narcisus 90. I started playing poker when I was in primary school, where I used to skip classes with my friends and go to  bars etc. to play 5 Card Draw poker, that was the most popular game at the time. When I started high-school some older friends taught me NL Holdem and I started liking it more and more. After a few years of  playing micro limits online, at school, in bars, the high-school ended and I moved to Bucharest. Here I discovered a new face of poker, poker clubs, casinos with dealers…etc. And I started playing in higher stakes both live and online.  Through a lot of passion and hard work, I eventually started winning. GSOP Live Malta is the first big live tournament I will be attending, though last year I was a hand away from winning a package to EPT Barcelona. “I got my first contact to poker to poker at the age of 17 when we played small Sit´n´Go tournament with my teammates in a bus coming from a match somewhere. I was lucky enough to win the tournament - eventhough I folded pair of aces pre-flop - and I was instantly addicted.

I kept playing mostly for fun for three years, but a big change took place early this year, when I got the chance to get coaching from a very good NLHE heads-up player. We started from NL50 and now I´m playing everything up to NL1000.

This is my first live tournament so I am really looking forward to it and am obviously aiming for a good result. What ever will happen in the tournament, the coming week will offer a nice break from the Finnish winter and the normal every day-grind.”

I first started playing online poker a couple of years ago when I saw my friends playing online and really enjoying it.  I started to take it more seriously about a year ago when I realized how important strategy is in poker. I started with Sit&Gos but changed shortly after to cash games. Occasionally I play Omaha and MTT but my preference is NLHE Cash games. I don’t have much experience in MTT’s, especially in live tournaments, however in Malta I will play my best possible game and most importantly have lots of fun.

I started playing poker about four years ago inspired by the WPT-broadcasts and my friends. I got in to the action playing with a $10 dollar No Deposit bonus and never looked back. I have never had to deposit my own money. In the beginning I was experimenting with Fixed Limit Hold´Em but quickly moved to Sit&Go´s and then to No Limit cash games.
Nowadays I mostly play cash games with the focus in NLHE, but I sometimes give Omaha a chance or two. Just for a change I still occasionally play some tournaments too. I have always liked playing live, and this summer I made my first poker trip to Las Vegas. So far I haven´t played bigger Live Tournaments, but I have high expectations for GSOP Live Malta. Whenever I play, I play to win!
