Before becoming a poker player I did fencing professionally for over 5 years. My live poker experience is around 4 years old; the start was in one of the local casinos in Riga (Latvia). I participated in many tournaments in different European countries – I had ups and downs as everyone does. I learned about
online poker after getting a job in one of the poker-rooms where I stayed for approximately a year. Currently I play both online and live poker. The GSOP Live event in Malta will be the 2nd event for me in this great series of poker events.

До покера, более 5 лет, я профессионально занимался фехтованием. В живой покер играю 4 года, начинал с местного казино г. Риги (Латвия). Участвовал в турнирах в разных странах Европы - складывалось по-разному: были и взлёты и падения. С онлайн-покером познакомился, попав на работу в один из покер-румов крупной сети, где проработал около года. Теперь всё время играю паралельно онлайн и в живую. Турнир GSOP Live на Мальте станет для меня вторым турниром из этой отличной серии живых покерных турниров.

This will be a busy week here at the RedKings Blogs, Ramzi Jelassi begins his quest for EPT title in Barcelona tomorrow and on wednesday GSOP Live Malta kicks off. We made our previous record of precense in October in Riga - and now we easily broke the record! We will have 37 players from 11 countries proudly wearing the RedKings colors!

After a succesful October Online, Jason Samsonov is heading for some Live success again.

“I will be trying to cut down my partying this time and really focus on making an impact on the green felt” - Commented Jason.

As you can see from the lack of Twitter updates, EPT Vienna was not a big success for our Team Pros Toni Ojala and Ramzi Jelassi. Both got knocked out during the first day without any big stories to share.

For Ramzi the next stop will be EPT Barcelona and Toni we will see in GSOP Live Malta where he will try to be the first ever player to make back-to-back Final Tables in GSOP Live Events!

Второй день начался с быстрых вылетов игроков – как наших, так и в общем. За первые 3 часа игры из 91 игрока, принимающих участие во втором дне, осталось меньше 60-ти. Из наших же 8 игроков за это время из игры вышло четверо. К сожалению, Евгений Лощаков оказался среди них, проиграв свой стек c TT против JJ. В финал прошло 9 игроков, среди которых 2 игрока RedKings: Тони Ояла (ПРО) и Янне Салонен. Фины умеют играть в покер.

Turn 3, Janne checks, Morten bets 58k. Janne instantly piles the chips for a call, then grabs all his chips but doesn´t put them over the line. He thinks for a while and decides to fold.

The players are certainly not nervous to get involved in pots, in the first hand we saw an EP raise, call from Tomi-Ville Hytti and a raise from Morten, only to be followed by all-in from Hytti. Morten folded so we still have 9 players.

The second hand Janne opened the button, and Teppo called in the bb. Janne took the pot down with a continuation bet.

The GSOP Live Riga Final table is about to start in few minutes. There are still two Team RedKings players left, our Pro Toni Ojala and Janne Salonen, who qualified for the tournament Online.
