James on life support

Friday, August 5th, 2011

James just got 372k in with Rolf Inge Kvanik, with who he had been tangling a lot.

James held 88 and couldn´t beat 99, so he now has only 5-7 big blinds.

James takes a big hit - can´t win every flip

Friday, August 5th, 2011

The preflop action is unclear preflop, but eventually James Keys and Tomasz Klaczynski got the chips in and were off to a race in a 780k pot.

James held AJ and Tomasz 55.

Flop: 8A2 and James took the lead

Turn was meaningless 6 and Tomasz needed a 5 to stay in the tournament - and got it.

James is down to approximately average stack, and Tomasz is now the chipleadder or at least close.

James takes down another player

Friday, August 5th, 2011

There was an early position raise from a big stack and Danny Hernon moved in for about 65k from the cutoff. James reshoved from the big blind and after a short tank the EP raiser folded.

James QQ

Danny Hernon A8o

Board came down 69T 4 4 and James scoops the pot while Danny headed towards the rail.

“James, you would have been in trouble had we seen the flop. I had pocket nines” commented the EP opener who had folded to the reshove.

15 players left.

Andis makes a good call

Friday, August 5th, 2011

Andis opened in early position and got raised to 48k from the blinds.

Flop came 5c 4c 2d and the blind lead all-in for almost full pot. Andis thought for a moment and made the call with 66. He was against AK and calmly watched as the dealer ran blanks on turn and river.

Andis now has about 400k.

Huge one for Zsolt!

Friday, August 5th, 2011

Once again the day has started fast, in the first 15 minutes we have lost 5 players. Zsolt was responsible for knocking out one of them in a sweat for a huge pot:

Early position short stack showed 48k preflop, and small blind made the call before Zsolt pushed around 135k in from the big blind. The small blind tanked for long before making the call based on odds. They had:

EP opener A5 offsuit

Small blind 44

Zsolt 99

Zsolt had to dodge 5 outs to take down over 300k pot, including a two-outer that would end his tournament. The board ran safe and Zsolt is now one of the bigger stacks!

It´s still not a simple walk in the park for the Team though. We missed the hand going down but heard Andis just took a hit after he called a short stack all-in, but the shorty´s 66 ran a straight to beat Andis´s pair of tens.

Let´s go!

Friday, August 5th, 2011

The Day 3 started a moment ago, we continue with level 2500/5000 ante 500 with 32 players remaining and average stack at 162k

Tables were redrawn, and James got a bit of a rough draw with some big stacks on his left, around James:

Rob Sherwood 160k

James Keys 425k

Tillman Raschke 180k (Tillman was on James´s direct right on the bubble yesterday and was SUPER frustrated being forced to watch James destroy the table)

Karl Rosengard 430k

Our other two remaining Team RedKings Qualifiers Andis Netlaus and Zsolt Vizsnyiczai are seated next to each other with Andis having position:

Zsolt 140k

Andis 290k

Olle Hammer 118k

Johannes Erfurth 105k

The lost ones

Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011

We had some trouble tracking down our Slovenian qualifier Andrei Fodor and Philippe Cayex due to table changes, but our research paid out and here´s an update:

Philipp: “I started out aggressive and picked up some chips 5-betting once and winning some other pots too, but it´s been a bit more quiet recently…after the 5-bet some of the guys have been coming after me” - 19k now.

When we finally found Andrei Fodor, he had just bet approx 3k to significant sized pot on J-high river, and after tanking for a moment his opponent called only to muck once Andrei showed down KK. Andrei has a bit over 25k now.

James is also up to over 25k and just got seated in position to former Team RedKings qualifier Joni Jouhkimainen who final tabled GSOP Live Seville. Knowing the players we may see some fireworks.

Siarhei Chyzyk~15k

Zsolt Vizsnyiczai ~30k

Familiar faces from Finland

Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011

…But as we are having problems with uploading the pics, without the actual faces.

Team RedKings Pro Toni Ojala and fellow finn Pekka Ikonen are the last two Team RedKings players who have participated in all the GSOP Lives so far. Toni made the final table in Season 1 Event, but Pekka is yet to cash on the tour. Fourth time´s a charm?

Jani Penttinen, who played the Season 1 Main Event is also here, and once we sort the technical issues we will introduce you two Team RedKings rookies from Finland, Marko Keipi and Joel Vuolevi, who both hopefully will become regulars on the tour.

Silvio out in day 3 and its unbelievable..

Friday, July 16th, 2010

However, during the last minutes of Day 3 I get out of the tournament close to being ITM, there are a bit more than 1000 players (from 7319 entries)

The decisive hand was the following : one girl in the middle of the table raises, I - in Dealer position - I bet 3X with pocket AA, all of them fold and the woman calls. Flop A-2-2, she goes all-in (with a stack a bit lower than mine), I call instantly, she shows pocket 2s and her 4 of a kind beats my Full House. From 70.000 I’m down to 20.000 chips. I go up to 50.000 chips, to have after another bad beat, AK suited (me) against AQ suited, board showing Q-2-Q-10-4, and by chance I had more chips than him and I remain with 18k in front of me. I play my last hand after that, in BB position, with 4-5 suited hearts: with a limp from someone in the middle and limp in of the SB, Flop comes: K-K-4, with 1 K of hearts, check of the SB, I go all in, the player in the middle calls, SB folds, turn 2 of hearts, but
river 10 black… For me it was a implacable Day3

Greeting to all of you

Sivio

Silvio makes it to day 2 in the WSOP..

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

Silvio is in Day 2 of the WSOP main event.

Bellow his article for the blog:

ENGLISH

Day 1 passed!

A main event really difficult, played 5 levels of 2 hours each, and I finish Day1 with a stack of 30.5K , a bit under the average but still in a good position.

The 2 most important hands of the day:

At the end of 3rd level, I get KQ diamonds, in dealer position. 2 players limp in, I raise 3x, the 1st folds, the second calls. Flop K-Q-8. He bets again, I call only. The turn shows K and in this moment I have the nuts and try to get all his chips. He overbets, remaining with only 7k. If I raise I risk that he folds, so I only check. River shows a 10 and he goes all-in with Q-10, I call instantly for a pot of 23k, so I am up to 55K now…

After the 4th level, I get pocket queens QQ, UTG limps in, and so does another one in the middle… I bet 3.5X the BB, UTG folds and the middle one calls. Flop: J-10-9. I bet, he bet 3X, I call. Turn: A. I check, he bets, I
call, river shows a 4. He bets again, I call, btu I lose the pot, against A-Q. A pot of around 16K

Now 3 days to rest, (there will be Day1b, Day1c, Day1d) and on Friday I play Day2.

Greetings from Vegas,

Silvio

Day 1 superato !!!!

Silvio
